Step 1: Physician’s office contacts Front Range Medical Imaging LLC to schedule ultrasound exam (please have patient’s name, date of birth, and exam being requested when calling).
Step 2: On the date of exam, Sonographer will show up at Physician’s office with machine, gel, towels, etc. Exam will be performed on patient and their questions will be answered. Preliminary results will be given to ordering provider. NO RESULTS ARE GIVEN TO PATIENT THAT DAY. STAT exams are welcome (upon availability) on the same day as scheduled service visits.
Step 3: When it comes to final reports on exams, the ordering provider can either use a radiologist they already have a relationship with, or we can recommend a radiologist group. The radiology group recommended by Front Range Medical Imaging LLC invoices offices at the end of the month for the exams they read out, and does not bill patient’s insurance. Final reports will be sent to ordering provider from radiologist, typically within 24 hours.
Step 4: Provider can bill patient for services provided in one of two ways. They can bill patient’s insurance, and wait for reimbursement, or the patient can pay cash.
Step 5: Front Range Medical Imaging LLC will invoice office at end of month for exams performed during that month.
